Show+Tell are proud to announce winning the 'Best Digital Start Up' at the Yorkshire Insider Digital and Technology Awards 2011 last night.

The cream of the region’s marketing, web design and IT community came together last night for Insider's 11th Yorkshire Digital & Technology Awards. Among the big winners was Leeds-based digital agency Numiko, which picked up two awards for Best Business-to-Consumer Website and Best Web Design Team.

Guest speaker Ajaz Ahmed, founder of Freeserve, told the audience at the Bury Theatre, Royal Armouries, that Yorkshire companies can go on to become global players.

"If we can create better websites and back-end technology then we might also be able to produce some of the big companies that can go on to become some of the global players of the future," he said.

The awards were presented by Stuart M McFarlane, sector manager of digital and new media at Yorkshire Forward, who revealed that Yorkshire’s digital and new media sector is the fastest growing in the UK. The awards are sponsored by Baker Tilly and Yorkshire Forward.

Shaun Mullins, partner at Baker Tilly, said: "We work with and come across many successful Yorkshire based digital and technology companies. In a rapidly developing environment Yorkshire is well placed to accelerate the growth of such businesses."
